Heather McCorquodale and her Jimny

McCorquodale-1

Heather has unlocked her love for adventure all thanks to her Suzuki Jimny. Whether it's everyday tasks or something a little more daring, Jim makes it all fun. Heather has taken the time to share why her Jimny fits her lifestyle so well.

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

I live in North Canterbury. I am an empty nester, keeping busy, working hard and filling my spare time doing lots of stuff I enjoy.

Is this your first new car?

I’ve had some nice cars, but this is my first brand new one.

Why did you choose Suzuki over other brands?

I’ve had a Samurai and a Vitara in the past and was very happy with them. I particularly loved my wee Samurai.

What do you love about your Suzuki?

What’s not to love?! I saw a picture of the new Jimny when they were first released and immediately thought that I needed one! It’s a fabulous car. I test drove a new Vitara, a Swift Sport, and the Jimny. I was going to get one of them. They were all great cars, but the Jimny made me smile. I love the retro styling that reminds me of my Samurai. It’s not the fastest car, but its good on the highway, great around town, as well as the rough stuff, and when there is a zombie apocalypse I can safely head for the hills!

How would you describe your Suzuki to a friend?

People tend to engage with me about the Jimny. It gets lots of looks and comments. Of course, I just say it’s great, and they should take one for a test drive!... (but not mine!)

Why was your Suzuki Jimny the right fit?

Because it suits my lifestyle and I can do anything and go anywhere in it.

Have you got a nickname or pet name for your Suzuki?

Jim!

How has owning your Suzuki made a difference in your life?

It’s made me more adventurous. I’m always keen to go driving, and have had more adventures in this car than any other. Everything is fun in the Jimny.

How do you use your car day to day?

It’s my daily driver, so I use it for everything.

What will you be doing/where will you be going when you next pick up your car keys?

Probably going to work!...unless there’s that zombie apocalypse, then I’ll go bush!

Describe the experience you had buying the car?

The hardest part was having to wait for 9 months for it, but Hollands Suzuki in Christchurch were fantastic, and would be my first stop for another new car.

What are the first steps or advice you would recommend to someone looking to buy a car?

Do some homework online, then go to a dealer and take a test drive and you’ll know the right car for you.
